These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of Rustic and Renewed Décor's e-commerce website www.rusticandreneweddecor.ca (the "Site). By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand the Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.

Intellectual Property

All content published and available on our Site is the property of Rustic and Renewed Décor. Content includes, but is not limited to, images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

Acceptable Use

As a user of our Site, you agree not to use our Site for any illegal purposes and to not:

• Harass or mistreat others on our Site;

• Violate the rights of others on our Site;

• Violate the intellectual property rights of the Site owners or any third party to the Site;

• Hack into the account of another user on the Site;

• Post any material or comments that are deemed inappropriate or offensive or

• Act in a way that could be considered fraudulent.

If we believe you have used our Site illegally or in any manner that violates our Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to terminate your access to our Site and take legal steps to prevent you from accessing our Site in the future.

• Complete forms where the information is sent to Rustic and Renewed Décor

By posting these contributions on our Site, you agree not to act illegally or violate our Terms and Conditions.

Accounts and The Sale of Goods

When you agree to set up an account on our Site to purchase goods, you agree to the following:

1. You are solely responsible for your account, the security and privacy of your account, including passwords or sensitive information that is attached to that account, and

2. You agree that all personal information you provide us through your account is up to date, accurate, and truthful, and you are responsible for updating any information if it changes.

3. Wix stores all information on Wix servers. This Site is secured with an SSL certificate so the information you enter is encrypted between entering and storing order information in the cloud.

4. We use Wix Payments, which is PCI compliant, so Rustic and Renewed Decor do not have access to or store any of your payment information.

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of goods on our Site. They apply to all goods displayed on our Site when you access it. This includes all products listed as being out of stock. All information, descriptions, and images we provide about our goods are as accurate as possible. 

 

We reserve the right to modify, reject or cancel your order whenever necessary. If we cancel your order and have already processed your payment, we will give you a refund equal to the amount paid. You agree that you are responsible for monitoring your payment choice to verify receipt of your refund.

 

Donations for Tree Replanting

At Rustic and Renewed Decor, we source our wood almost exclusively from Ontario—so we believe in giving back. For every order, we donate 3% of proceeds to Tree Canada, supporting their reforestation efforts right here in Ontario. Through annual contributions, we help plant new trees, ensuring forests thrive for generations.

Product Size & Colour

Size

As each piece is handmade, exact dimensions may vary slightly (up to ¼ inch) to accommodate the natural characteristics of the wood, especially in reclaimed items.

Colour

While we provide stain/paint swatches and product images, please note:
• Stains may appear differently across wood types
• Monitor settings may cause slight variations in paint/stain colors

Shipping & Delivery

In-Stock Items

• Ships within 3-5 business days after payment confirmation

• If an item is out of stock, it will be treated as a made-to-order item

• You’ll receive a shipping notification once your order is dispatched

• If payment is delayed, we’ll notify you to resolve with your card provider

• Returns on out-of-stock items follow in-stock return rules.

Made-to-Order Items

• Handcrafted after ordering, with a maximum 3-week production time (varies by item complexity and current production). 

• We’ll notify you of any delays (supply issues, vacations, etc.)

• Don’t want to wait? Full refund (including shipping) available upon request if the item has not been started.

Custom Orders

• Free quote & estimated timeline provided before work begins

• 50% deposit required to start production

• Final payment & shipping costs due before delivery

• Shipping method selected for best price (size/weight/location)

• Local pickup or delivery available in Lambton County. 

• If you need delivery within 2 hours of Sarnia, let us know and we will try to accommodate.

Free Local Pickup

Available in Lambton County (Sarnia, ON) at no charge. Pickup times are scheduled, and the address is provided after order confirmation.

Local Delivery

• Delivery within Lambton County is available for a small fee, based on your postal code.

• We also offer delivery within 2 hours of Sarnia — please contact us before ordering for a quote and to confirm availability.

Shipping Refund for Pickup

• If you selected shipping at checkout but  now choose local pickup or delivery instead, we’ll refund the original shipping cost.

Delivery Requirements

• Someone must be present to accept the delivery.

• Delivery must be to a house, townhouse, or ground-floor apartment/condo with direct access

• No returns are accepted once the item has been delivered and accepted

• Missed deliveries will either require a redelivery fee or pickup in Sarnia

Returns and Refunds

Damaged Items

If Your Item Arrives Damaged. We’re sorry your order didn’t arrive as expected — we’ll make it right.

Please email us at info@rusticandreneweddecor.ca within 7 business days of delivery with the following:

• Your name and order number

• Delivery date

• Photos clearly showing the damage and packaging so we can provide for insurance claim. 

No return required. Once we verify the damage, we’ll issue a full refund, including the item cost and original shipping.
 

Standard Returns & Refunds

We want you to love your purchase! If you're not completely satisfied with your item, here's how to return it:

In-Stock Items:

• 7-Day Notification:

  • If you’re not satisfied, email us at info@rusticandreneweddecor.ca within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number and reason for return.

• Return Window:

  • The item must be returned unused and undamaged within 30 days to be eligible for a refund.

• Return Shipping and Condition

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and items must be returned in their original condition.

• Refund Details:

  • Once we receive and inspect the item, we’ll issue a refund for the product price and applicable taxes.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

• Unfinished Items:

  • All unfinished items follow the same return policy as in-stock products since they have not been customized and can be easily resold.
     

Made-To-Order Items

Because each piece is handcrafted just for you—using your chosen wood type, stain, and finish—we’re unable to offer full refunds unless the item arrives damaged. That said, your satisfaction is important to us, and we aim to be fair and transparent:

• 7-Day Notification:

  • If you’re not satisfied, email us at info@rusticandreneweddecor.ca within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number and reason for return.

• Return Window:

  • The item must be returned unused and undamaged within 30 days to be eligible for a refund.

• 70% Refund:

  • Once the return is received in original condition, we’ll issue a 70% refund of the item’s price (shipping is non-refundable).

• Return Shipping:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

• Exception – Unfinished Wood Items:

  • Unfinished, in-stock wood items may be returned for a full refund, provided they’re in original condition and meet our standard return timeline.

We photograph all products before shipping. If an item is damaged, please refer to the damaged item refunds and follow that process to receive a full refund for both the product and shipping.

Sales Taxes

Due to the limitations of our CMS Web provider (Wix), understanding of Canadian Tax requirements and proper labelling, the line GST/HST will include (PST, RST, or QST) plus GST for the four provinces that do not have GST only or HST. Let us know if you need to have this broken out, and we can provide you with a manual receipt.

Your security matters: All payments are processed through Wix's encrypted systems. We never see or store your payment details; only order information is securely stored.

For Custom Orders:

• E-transfer payments are also accepted for added flexibility or Square (interac, credit card) at pickup or delivery.

Consumer Protection Law

Where the Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation.

 

Limitation of Liability

Rustic and Renewed Décor and its employees, partners, and affiliates are not liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including any legal fees, resulting from your use of the Site.

Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site, you indemnify and hold harmless Rustic and Renewed Décor from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Applicable Law

The laws of the Province of Ontario govern these Terms and Conditions.
