In addition to our website, a selection of our products is available through our Etsy shop. We also attend seasonal craft shows and markets throughout Southwestern Ontario. Our website offers the widest selection, including Made-to-Order, Ready-to-Ship, Ready-to-Finish, and fully custom pieces. Upcoming market and craft-show dates are shared on our website and social media.

Your piece will follow the same design and options you selected, but it may not look exactly like the product photo. The photos may show a different wood type from the one you choose, and every board has its own grain, knots, colour and texture. Different wood species—and especially reclaimed wood—can also absorb stain differently. Colours may vary slightly from the photos or appear different on your screen. These natural variations are not defects; they are part of what makes every handcrafted piece unique.

We work with Ontario hardwoods — maple, cherry, oak, walnut, and curly maple — plus Canadian pine from Ontario and BC. About half of our wood is reclaimed, which can be hardwood or softwood. Each product page lists the wood options available for that piece — and every board's grain is one of a kind. For custom orders, we're happy to source other woods if you have something specific in mind.

Rustic & Renewed Decor was founded by Karen Fischer in Sarnia, Ontario. After a career in tech sales and business coaching, she traded the boardroom for the workshop — every piece is designed and handcrafted by her in Southwestern Ontario from new and reclaimed wood.
